In April of this year Dr Brendan Ciarán Browne was interviewed by Kate Brayden from Oxfam Ireland having recently been invited to facilitate a 'global changemaker' event for Oxfam.
In the interview Dr Browne talked about growing up in Belfast, his 16 years of work on and for Palestine, how it shapes his understanding of colonial violence, sectarianism and resistance, and the importance of his students in Palestine on his own professional and personal development.
The outcome is a highly personal reflection on what took him to Palestine, his work at the Al-Quds University as a Professor of international law and human rights, and his journey back to Ireland to take up his role at Trinity College Dublin in 2016.
