Trinity’s student life is vibrant. Beyond education, involvement in student and community organisations is an integral part of your experience at Trinity. With 120 societies, 48 sports clubs, many course-specific social events, and, of course, the Trinity Ball, Europe’s largest private party and a highlight of every spring term on campus, there is simply something for everyone.
Trinity’s Front Square plays host to Freshers’ Week at the start of the academic year where the many societies and clubs set out their stalls. Among the most popular of the student societies are the Philosophical Society (‘the Phil’) and the Historical Society (‘the Hist’) which are the oldest and longest running student societies in the world, and regularly host talks with world renowned speakers, from writers and actors to heads of state and Nobel laureates.
Whatever your interest, from fencing to running or debating to musical theatre, rest assured that there will be a society or club for you. They are a great way to get involved, get to know people who share your interests and meet new friends.
