S2S Head Mentors

S2S Head Mentors support Mentors by school, often overseeing multiple groups. Having previously served as Mentors, they bring valuable experience and insight, and many continue mentoring alongside their Head Mentor role.

They are the main point of contact for Mentors, offering guidance, answering questions, and helping ensure mentees have active, welcoming groups. Before Orientation Week, Mentors will hear from their Head Mentors and be invited to a get-to-know-you event to meet them and connect with other Mentors.

Head Mentors also attend monthly meetings to update the S2S office on group activity and engagement.

Molly Rose Hurley (she/her)

Hello! My name is Molly and I’m a third year English and History student. I love swimming, sea swims are the absolute best. I also enjoy learning new recipes or knitting patterns. Miriam Onwuegbusi (she/her)

Hey everyone! I’m Miriam, one of your Joint Honours Head Mentors. I’m a fourth-year student studying Music and German. I’m a very social and talkative person, so please feel free to ask me any questions or chat to me about pretty much anything! My hobbies include playing sports (particularly badminton) and games, writing and reading manga. I can’t wait to get to know you all!

Hello :) I'm James, I'm a third-year History and Political Science student, who is (very lucky) to be a Head Mentor for Joint Honours, yes, all of them. I started as an S2S Mentor in 2025 as a second-year for TAP students and engaged with the Student to Student service in consultation with Mature Students. Cara Sheehy (she/her)

Hello everyone, my name is Cara! I am a fourth year history student and one of the head mentors for Single Honours Arts! I started as a mentor with S2S in my second year, helping to smooth the transition into college for all first year students. I love swimming, creative writing and listening to Taylor Swift. Lucy-Mai Dunphy (she/her)

Hello everyone! My name is Lucy-Mai and I will be one of your Head Mentors for this year. I am a third year English Studies student and this is my second year volunteering with S2S. I really loved mentoring last year, so I knew I had to become a Head Mentor. My number one hobby is reading. I love talking about books so if you see me on campus come say hi! Hi! My name is Bhadra, and I'm one of the Head Mentors. I joined S2S as a mentor last year, and am so excited about the promotion! As a fourth-year Law and Business student, you'll probably catch me desperately finishing my readings in the Boland. Outside college, I love going thrifting with friends (recommendations welcome), crocheting, and stress-baking. Hi Everyone! My name is Deeya and I'm one of the Head Mentors for Law. I joined S2S in 2nd year and I'm really happy to be a part of the community again! I'm going into 4th year, so trust me when I say this, I've been through it too and you will find your place!! Hi everyone! I’m Amaia, a 3rd-year Sociology & Social Policy student and one of your Business, SSP & Social Work Head Mentors. I joined S2S last year and loved it so much I came back for more! You’ll usually find me somewhere on campus (or at a café with an iced vanilla matcha in hand). Nino Marsagishvili (she/her)

I'm Nina a 3rd-year Social Studies student, one of your Head Mentors this year. This is my 2nd year with S2S. Initially I only joined for my friend, but had so much fun organising events and meeting people that I ended up becoming a Head Mentor. 90% chance you will see me at Perch grabbing my 4th cup of coffee. Hi! My name is Zoe and I’m a third year Environmental Science and Engineering student. I have previously been both a Mentor and a Mentor Trainer in the S2S and I am so excited to be a Head Mentor this year! Michelle Xu (she/her)

Hello! My name is Michelle, and I am one of your Head Mentors for Maths, Physics and MIDFY this year. Hi, I'm Caoimhe, a fourth year theoretical physics student. After being a mentor for two years, I'm excited to be a head mentor this year! Hello I'm Aisling and I am a 3rd year Geoscience student and I am sooo excited to be one of the Head Mentors for Organic Sciences!! You may recognise my face as I have an identical twin who is also a head mentor! I am a first time Head Mentor and last year I was a mentor trainer and mentor. I am always happy to answer questions about S2S, Geoscience or anything hedgehog related (I LOVE HEDGEHOGS!) James Drumm Quill (he/him)

Hello! I'm James, a 3rd-year Chemical Sciences student and a Head Mentor for Organic Sciences. I have so many hobbies that even I forget what they are, letting me find joy in them all over again! Because of this, I'm happy to talk about literally anything. :) Lately, my focus has been on perfecting my rendition of the worm. If you see me around, please say hi! Hey! I’m Sash, one of your Head Mentors this year :) I’m in my third year of Biomed and love making different versions of tiramisu. Jia Lu Xu (she/her)

Hii! I'm Jia, a 4th year Nursing student, and one of your Head Mentors for Nursing, Dentistry & Pharmacy. When I'm not studying or on placement, I'm with my plants and animals. I grow all kinds of things: fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers! I also have an axolotl, two goldfish, and I raise butterflies (several generations now ��). Emilie Wu Zoeyii (she/her)

Hi friends, I'm Emilie and I'm so honoured to be your head mentor this year — which basically means I’m here to help you survive and occasionally cry (just a little) through med school. Hi everyone! I’m in final year med and this is my third year being a head mentor! I love S2S because of how friendly, inclusive and supportive everyone is. I became a mentor because I found the first few weeks of college difficult, so I know how scary it can be to start! My tips for college would be to try new things and to reach out to people!
