Committee Members will work towards planning S2S orientation, undertaking projects such as

• Organinsing an Orientation preparation event (incl. hoodie collection and meet your buddy)

This is a social event to help Mentors and Head Mentors feel prepared for orientation, giving them a chance to collect their hoodie, meet their mentor buddy or their Head Mentor, get information on what to expect for orientation and ask questions. 

• Creating Orientation social media content

There's a lot of info for Mentors, Head Mentors and Mentees in the lead up to Orientation. This group will work on fun and informative content that will give students all the info they need.

• Designing S2S society membership cards and securing sponsors

The S2S society is a great support to all S2S volunteers. The summer committee will help in creating the society digital membership cards along with securing discounts and sponsorships, so that when September hits the society can hit the ground running.

• Be involved in S2S Action Planning 

Students are at the focus of everything S2S does and so to make sure the student voice remains the center, this group will work on mapping actions that will help S2S fulfil it's goals. 

Participants will take part in other activities and initiatives as they arise over the summer.

Summer Committee members have the chance to gain experience in graphic design, event management, project management, content creation, and anything else you can bring to the table! Your experience on the summer committee will prepare you for other roles within S2S and can be included in any future reference.

The committee will meet weekly at Dublin time (online). Members will facilitate various pieces of work throughout the 2 weeks between meetings.  

As the committee meets bi-weekly committee members should make every attempt to attend all meetings. We know the summer can be a busy and irregular time for students but to make sure you are update and connected with your team attendance at meetings should be prioritised.

The S2S society is a student created and student run society with the CSC. They organise events, promote S2S, and ensure the programme runs smoothly for all students. You can find more info about the S2S society here.

The meetings will be facilitated by the S2S Programme Officer, but the discussion and group work will be led by students on the committee.

Absolutely not, all meetings and project work can take place online. We encourage everyone, regardless of location, to apply.
