Professor Martin Worthington has been awarded the Gold Medal of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Georgia) for his contributions to the sciences.

Tbilisi State University recently published a book The Epic of Gilgamesh Transliteration by academician Tamaz Gamkrelidze, for which Professor Worthington contributed the foreword.
