¡Felicidades! to our colleague Carmen Sanjulián (Department of Hispanic Studies) who was presented with a Sustainability Leadership Award this week, by Provost Dr Linda Doyle.
The 2026 Awards, now in their fourth year, took place in Trinity's Business School, on Monday, 9 March as part of Trinity's 24th annual Green Week. The ceremony was hosted by the College's Vice President for Biodiversity and Climate Action, Jane Stout and Sustainability Manager, Jane Hackett, and Provost Dr Linda Doyle presented the certificates.
Carmen Sanjulián is passionate about embedding Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the curriculum, being one of the first cohort of staff to volunteer for training in ESD, and has shown pioneering leadership in developing new curricula, and inspiring students and colleagues.
The new Junior Sophister module she designed: 'Sustainable Futures in Spanish-speaking Contexts', will bring cutting edge methodologies in sustainable education to the Hispanic Studies curriculum at Trinity.
