Posted on 30 April 2018
Global Relation's annual US recruitment events took place in six locations across the country recently. Over 450 interested undergraduate and postgraduate students attended along with their families, many making the visit part of their wider college tours.
Building on previous year’s successes, Open Days were held in Boston, New York and Chicago, bringing the sense of a campus visit and fair to the US. Global Relations’ took its first Open Day to the West Coast with a successful inaugural event in San Francisco. Additionally, two information evenings were held in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
Academic and administrative staff were available to answer student queries at the event and the alumni and academic panels were very well received. Trinity speakers included Professor Juliette Hussey, Vice-President of Global Relations; Professor Kevin O'Kelly, Dean of Students; Professor Henry Rice, Head of School of Engineering; Professor Sarah-Jane Cullinane, Trinity Business School; Ms. Seána Skeffington, The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art and Professor Bernice Murphy, School of English.
What the 2018 attendees had to say about the events:
"If you want to meet some people who are passionate about their school and facilitating the educational goals of their students, consider attending this event. I thought it was great!"
