Trinity College Dublin, Ireland’s leading university, has signed a strategic partnership with Universidad de las Américas Pueblas, one of Mexico’s top institutions, in the presence of the Mexican Ambassador to Ireland, Carlos Garcia De Alba. Trinity’s Vice President for Global Relations, Professor Juliette Hussey, and Universidad de las Américas Pueblas’ Academic Vice President, Dr. Cecilia Anaya Berríos, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Trinity’s historic campus, during a recent visit.

The partnership included a significant collaboration between the Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Institute, and the Fudan Development Institute, as an important mutual strategic step towards the expansion of Humanities research via international collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion of the signing, Vice President for Global Relations, Professor Juliette Hussey said: “This exciting collaboration will facilitate meaningful opportunities for staff and students in both universities to explore and develop areas of joint teaching and research.”

The partnership with Universidad de las Américas Pueblas reflects Trinity’s commitment to deeper engagement with Mexico, building on the existing links and complementary strengths of the partners, to provide educational programmes and opportunities for students and staff of both institutions.
