'Inspiring Generations' will support transformative educational experiences across the University that will attract the most innovative academics, the most talented students from all backgrounds, from the world over. Together they will research and address some of the major global issues of our time, from environmental challenges to cancer treatment.

Fifty-eight Scholars, fifteen new Fellows, five new professorial Fellows and two Honorary Fellows were announced. Among the new Scholars were three international students; Medicine student Jonathan Jegar, Jewish and Islamic Civilisations and Russian student Mari Paine – both from the US, and Computer Science student Dey Krishanu from Delhi, India.

Censorship in Ireland, the sounds of dead languages and a first-hand account of locked in syndrome are among the diverse range of topics to be explored during ‘Trinity Week’ — a series of free public events taking place in Trinity College Dublin between Monday April 29 and Friday May 3.

Researchers from the School of Mathematics at Trinity are set to play a leading role in a Europe-wide network that has just secured funding of €10 million from the EU’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation framework programme. They will use the grant to support and develop experimental and theoretical particle physics research.

Global Relation's annual US recruitment events took place in eight locations across the country recently. Over 468 interested undergraduate and postgraduate students attended along with their families, many making the visit part of their wider college tours.
