Congratulations to Stephen Dooley on winning the highly prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Award on 9th December 2020.

These awards, announced annually and valued at €2 million each, go to emerging research leaders who are at the stage of growing their own independent research teams or programmes on the global stage.

Stephen will work with lignocellulose (biomass, plant matter), which is a promising bioenergy source that must be utilised to achieve a non-fossil-based sustainable bioeconomy.
