The 2025/2026 Award programme is now complete. If you have not completed in time, you can rejoin again in the following year (unless you are graduating). Our team will be shortly announcing the 2026/2027 Award programme deadline.

We have designed the Award to be easily completed alongside your studies. It’s flexible, and it can be completed in your own time throughout the year. Aside from the 20 hours of Experiential Learning, which you may have already completed, the Award will only take about 5 hours to complete.

No, activities can be completed anywhere, as long as you can provide contact details for an approver or referee who can confirm your activity.

The Career Skills Award (CSA) is a structured employability programme for Trinity students. It helps you develop career-ready skills through employer engagement, skills workshops, experiential learning, and personal development activities, while recognising your achievements at different award levels. 

The Career Skills Award is open to all Trinity students, regardless of discipline or year of study.

The Award helps you: 

• Develop career readiness and employability skills.  

• Build practical workplace skills through workshops and activities.  

• Connect with employers and expand your professional network.  

• Gain valuable experience to strengthen your CV and future job applications.  

• Receive formal recognition for your personal and professional development.  

To complete the Award, you must participate in activities across three pillars: 

• Employer Partnership Activities  

• Developing Yourself Beyond the Classroom Activities  

• Experiential Learning Activities  

The number of activities required depends on the Award level you are working towards. 

The Trinity Career Skills Award has three levels: 

• Participation – recognises your first steps in career development.  

• Achievement – recognises sustained engagement and skill development.  

• Exceptional – recognises outstanding commitment and meaningful professional development.  

No. The Award is designed to be flexible. You can complete activities in any order and work on multiple activities at the same time.

Each Experiential Learning Activity must include a minimum of 20 hours of verifiable experience.

Examples of an Employer Partnership Activity include: 

• Employer Skills Development Workshops  

• Employer Site Visits  

• Employer-led Alumni Panels  

• Practice Interviews with Employers  

• Employer-led CV Review Clinics  

These activities provide opportunities to learn from employers, develop workplace skills, and gain industry insights.
