Learning Innovation Research Fund 2025: Expression of Interest
Calls for Applications have now closed - 2025 Call for Expressions of Interest for learning innovation research projects.
Strategic areas of focus
In this first funding cycle, we welcome proposals in the following priority areas:
- Teaching, learning and assessment in an era of generative AI
- Inclusivity and access in the curriculum
(Note: a project can address both themes.)
Grant information
- Grant Amounts: minimum 5k, maximum project dependent
- Project Duration: 18 months
- EoI Deadline: Friday 13 June 2025
- Interviews: Thursday 19 June 2025
- Full proposal submission: Friday 12 September 2025
- Successful Projects Start Date: Wednesday 15 October 2025
Who can apply?
The call for proposals is open to all staff with teaching responsibilities including:
- Academic staff
- Teaching Fellows
- Professional staff involved in teaching and/or supporting student learning
Please note:
- Applicants should hold at least one year of continuous service at Trinity and have employment contracts that extend through the entire duration of the proposed project.
- Applicant cannot be the Project Lead for more than one application.
- Student partnership in funded projects is strongly encouraged. However, students cannot apply as project lead.
Communication regarding the application process and awarding of grants will be shared with the applicants' Head of School/Function. Applicants will require sign-off from their Head of School/Function.
Selection Process
Please note that not all Expressions of Interest will progress to the next stage, which will involve interview. Following interviews, a full proposal may be requested.
