Simulation-based Learning

Simulation-based learning (SBL) provides experiential learning by utilising simulation aids to replicate real clinical situations and scenarios. SBL is often used in preclinical teaching as a solution to barriers restricting students’ access to clinical settings (11). SBL provides students the opportunity to make and learn from mistakes without risk to a real patient (20) and to guide their own learning experience through interactivity (21).
