The ABC approach to Learning Design

UCL’s Arena Blended Curriculum (ABC) learning design model has been used in many higher education institutes to support teaching staff in the design of good student learning experiences.

In this workshop, you will use the ABC model to create a visual ‘storyboard’ outlining the type and sequence of learning activities (both online and offline) required to meet the intended learning outcomes of your module.

The workshop will provide you with an opportunity to: use the ABC learning design methodology to select appropriate activities for your module that support student achievement of the learning outcomes; draft a storyboard of the teaching and learning activities that map the student learning experience.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a module outline that they would like to work on, along with a set of intended learning outcomes.
