Using GenAI in Teaching and Learning (Facilitated Module)
Supported by the HEA/National Forum in 2024, this facilitator-led course is now open for enrolment.
This course is designed to help you build foundational knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI), enabling you to explore how to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) into your teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
Delivered fully online, the course spans six weeks—from September 10th to October 22nd—and involves approximately 25 learning hours. The course includes a mix of live (synchronous) sessions, self-paced (asynchronous) content, peer collaboration, group activities, and individual study.
Learning outcomes:

Recognise what is meant by the terminology used around GenAI, with a particular focus on its use within higher education;

Evaluate the use of AI in teaching, learning and assessment with a focus on ‘what, why and how’;

Explore and reflect on pedagogical practices within the disciplines which incorporate the use of GenAI;

Design and embed GenAI within your teaching, learning or assessment practices.
