Daniel Byrdziak
Polish Language Assistant
e-mail: daniel.byrdziak@tcd.ie I was born in the south of Poland, in Bielsko-Biała, where I lived until completing secondary education and passing the matriculation examination. I then completed a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Philology, followed by a Master’s degree in Teaching Polish as a Foreign and Second Language at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.
After graduating, I moved to Warsaw, where for seven years I taught Polish as a foreign language at a private higher education institution as well as at a private language school. I worked as a language instructor, school methodologist, and examiner for the state certification examinations in Polish as a foreign language.
My professional interests focus on teaching general Polish, Polish for business purposes, and foreign language teaching methodology. At Trinity College, I teach both beginner and advanced groups and also supervise undergraduate theses.
