Trinity College Dublin is the only centre of Russian and Slavonic Studies in Ireland. Our staff have areas of expertise in the languages and cultures of Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Ukraine and Russia). The department is part of the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies.

Enroling for summer language courses in Polish, Russian and Ukrainian, and 'Modern Bulgarian History and Culture'The department is now offering short intense language courses and a new cultural course, starting on 3 June 2026. Classes are open to the public and will take place in the evening, on campus. -
