Postgraduate Orientation Week will to take place from the 12-17th September 2016 and is organised by the Graduate Students' Union (GSU). This is an invaluable opportunity to meet fellow postgraduate students and gain further insight into Trinity and the GSU. Orientation Week will include opportunities to have tours of campus, the libraries, sports facilities, and Dublin City Centre. There will be daily coffee/tea gatherings, several evening wine receptions, a table quiz, and other social nights out in Dublin’s bars throughout the week. We also encourage non-alcohol related events and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Orientation will include an international student induction where you can get relevant information about being new to Ireland, and several general faculty orientation sessions. There will also be an address from the Provost, the President of the University, on Monday 12th which always proves to be a real highlight.

Finally, on Friday the 16th September, we will host our largest event ever in Trinity postgraduate history! A brilliant mix of Irish music acts will perform in Dublin's 'The Academy' which has previously hosted artists such as Ed Sheeran & Macklemore. We will give Orientation Week a proper send-off announcing to the entire Trinity Community, our New Postgrads have arrived! This event is exclusively open to ALL Trinity Postgraduate Students, new and existing therefore it's a great opportunity to meet the wider community. THIS WILL BE A SELL-OUT (Can we call it that when it's free!?) So don't miss out!

Details of how you can sign up for this event and all information regarding Orientation Week will be available by the end of August. It will also be available on our Facebook, Twitter and online platforms. So get liking, get booking those flights so you can arrive on time and get involved in the festivities of Orientation Week and don't forget to look out for #TrinityGSU

About the GSU

The GSU is an independent body within the University and advocates on behalf of all registered postgraduate students who automatically have membership to the GSU.
An Executive Board of part-time officers and two elected full-time Sabbatical Officers manage the GSU. The President, Shane Collins, represents postgraduate students in academic and strategic decisions made in Trinity and pursues postgraduate issues at a national level. The Vice President, Elisa Crespo Miguelez, manages the educational and welfare needs of postgraduate students here in Trinity.
The GSU is a great place to meet new people and develop new skills. We're always looking for new volunteers, so get in touch in September and before then find us on our website, Twitter or on Facebook

See you all in September!
