New Director for TRiSS

two directors

With Prof. Eleanor Denny's term ending as director of TRiSS, a coffee morning was held to thank her for her excellent directorship at TRiSS' helm, and to welcome the incoming director – Prof. Ronan Lyons. Amongst those in attendance were the Head of Schools from across the Social Sciences, and the Dean of the Faculty of the Arts Humanities and Social Sciences.

Prof. Lyons expressed how much he is looking forward to this new role and to collaborating with TRiSS' various partners and thanked Prof. Eleanor Denny for her tireless work in getting the project off the ground.

Prof. Denny remarked that the directorship was an exciting and enjoyable experience and that "none of it could have been achieved without the support of the faculty office, the Dean, the Heads of Schools, the Implementations Committee, and a wide ranging supportive community of academics, postgraduates and professional staff across Trinity."

Professor Denny served as director of TRiSS for four years and was the inaugural director. She specialises in Energy and Behavioural economics and heads up a range of research projects including the CONSEED and SocialRES projects, both funded by the European Commission. On August 19th Prof. Ronan Lyons started his term as the new director of TRiSS. Prof. Lyons specialises in Economic History and Urban Economics. He is a Research Associate at the Spatial Economics Research Centre in LSE and author of the Daft.ie Reports on Ireland's sale and rental housing markets.
