University Times Journalism TY Week

This is a week-long Transition Year programme for our Partner Schools delivered by the University Times. The University Times is a student newspaper in Trinity College Dublin. Its staff-editors, writers, photographers, illustrators and coders are made up of students and staff of Trinity College. Students will be treated like real-life journalists and are expected to pitch stories, receive breaking news updates and attend interactive press conferences with notable members of the public.  

The purpose of the programme is inspire an interest in journalism with a broader goal of increasing the socio-economic diversity in Irish newspapers and news rooms. Students will be encouraged to study in Trinity College and made aware of the range of degrees that are useful for journalists.
