TAP/Dublin Libraries Seminar Series 2025
TAP is delighted to partner with local Dublin libraries to run a series of information seminars in 2025. These talks are aimed at parents of 6th year students, as well as mature students who are interested in returning to education.
No need to register! The seminars are free of charge and all are welcome.
Parents/Guardians Information Seminar: Alternative Routes to College
This is a practical session for parents/guardians of 6th Year students all about alternative routes to college.
TAP staff will give an overview of PLCs (post-Leaving Cert courses) that can be used as pathways to degree courses, as well as apprenticeships and training. We will discuss the TAP Foundation Course for Young Adults and how students can apply. There will be information on sources of funding such as SUSI grants and the HEAR scheme. We will be available for Q&A and follow-up questions.

Mature Students and Returners to Education: Information Seminars
This is an information seminar for mature students (23+) who are considering a return to education or are already in a course and thinking about next steps.
TAP staff will give an overview of the options, including direct entry (no qualifications required), PLC courses, and the TAP Foundation Course for Matures. We will have information on sources of funding such as SUSI grants and Back to Education Allowance (BETA), as well as the application process. We will be available for Q&A and follow-up questions.
