TJH Pathways - Information for Staff
Trinity Joint Honours students will make a number of decisions on what they will study and how many credits they will study of it during their programme. Students will undertake 60 credits/ECTS in each academic year, with 30 credits/ECTS studies each semester.
Please see the slides and video from the recent staff information session hosted by the UCAO Office on the 28th of February 2024.
In the first year of their programme, students will study their two subjects equally with 30 credits/ECTS taken across the year.
For the second year of their programme they will select one of three available pathways – and these pathways will influence what degree pathways are available for students to choose from at the end of their 2nd Year. It is also important to note that there are some subjects who do not offer all routes in Year 2 or who have requirements that a student complete 40 ECTS in a subject in order to Major in that subject.
Ahead of the commencement of Year 3 students will confirm what degree pathway they wish to follow and this will determine the structure of their studies for Years 3 and 4. Students will not be able to change their degree award pathway once year 3 has commenced.
Where resources are made available with regards to supporting students making pathway choices, we will publish them here and please feel free to also reach out to us with any questions.
