On 19 June 2026, DEMCONEX was delighted to host the annual Law & Humanities Roundtable in collaboration with Law and Humanities and the Irish Humanities Alliance examining the theme “Visions of Democracy in Art and Literature”. The day brought together speakers from Ireland, Europe and the United Kingdom to discuss the value of free expression for both individuals and the resilience of the broader democratic project and to reflect on the role that both artists and lawyers play in advancing and securing that right.
