Profile photo of Lucia della VenturaDr Lucia della Ventura is a triple-qualified lawyer (Ireland, England & Wales, Italy) and Lecturer in the School of Law at Trinity College Dublin, teaching Fintech Regulation and Policy on the LL.M programme. Her research expertise examines the legal role of Decentralised Artificial Intelligence (DsAI) in smart contract formation, introducing two original frameworks, the Paradigm of Autonomous Behaviour (PAB) and Functional Legal Subjectivity (FLS),  to determine when DsAI autonomy becomes legally significant.
With over a decade of experience at the intersection of AI, fintech, and EU law, she has served as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and MLRO at CBI and FCA-regulated entities. She is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Law Society of Ireland, and the Italian Bar.
