Join us for an engaging conversation with Dean Strang, one of the most respected voices in criminal justice and legal reform. In Responding to Injustice: Law, Journalism, and Miscarriages of Justice, Dean will reflect on the lessons of wrongful convictions, the challenges of achieving justice, and the powerful role that journalists, lawyers, and engaged citizens play in exposing failures within legal systems. Drawing on a distinguished career as a defence lawyer, author, and academic, Dean offers unique insights into the intersection of law, media, and public trust.

Following Dean's talk, he will discuss these themes with Sinead O'Carroll, editor of theJournal.ie, and David Kenny, acting Director of the Trinity Centre for Constitutional Governance.  This is a rare opportunity to hear from an internationally recognised advocate whose work has shaped contemporary discussions of criminal justice. This event is sponsored by the Trinity Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Faculty Event Fund.
