In a world of treaties, customary international law continues to play a dynamic role in the regulation of world public order. Join us on 12 November 2026 for a discussion with Dr Gregor Novak, the author of 'Global Lawmaking and Social Change', that will examine different approaches to understanding the function of customary international law in a rapidly changing world. Why does customary international law still matter? How can its operation across different aspects of international affairs help us to make sense of the current challenges to global governance and collective problem-solving?
