Partnership Objective
To deliver a national accelerator supporting Irish design and craft businesses, in collaboration with the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI). The programme aimed to equip creatives with the business skills, tools, and strategic mindset to scale internationally and become export-ready.
Trinity Added Value
- Design and delivery of a 15-week accelerator combining design thinking, business fundamentals, and sustainability strategy.
- Access to mentors from Trinity Business School, design experts, legal/IP advisors, and Enterprise Ireland.
- Hosted and supported by Portal at Trinity College Dublin, offering hybrid delivery and high-impact sessions.
Partnership Activities & Approach
- Weekly workshops on branding, storytelling, sales, finance, IP, digital marketing, circularity, and go-to-market strategies.
- In-person and online sessions with thought leaders and masterclasses from industry professionals.
- Tailored support for ten selected craft and design companies with diverse business models and sustainability missions.
Impact
The accelerator strengthened Ireland’s creative sector by supporting ten high-potential brands including Ted 1942, Sampla, Shock of Grey, and Copperfish. Participants gained strategic clarity, market positioning, and pathways to international growth. The programme empowered SMEs to scale and represent Ireland’s design excellence globally.
