b'ProcurementTeam Purpose StatementWe serve Trinity by understanding, managing, and meeting the procurement needs of sta,students, visitors, donors, and suppliers in a collaborative, sustainable and continuouslyimproving manner.By doing this we help the University to lower cost and risk while addingvalue and ensuring a greater return on the assets and resources at its disposal, thus realisingthe vision and objectives of the Universitys Strategic Plan 2020-25.Key achievements include: Ben Hartnett \x01 Following a lengthy tender process, the contract for Security & Attendant Services was Procurement Manager awarded to a new provider.\x01 A first ever framework for Videography Services was established, which will support the delivery of local and central videography requirements.\x01 A major tender process for Lift Maintenance, covering 148 lifts across Trinity, was completed. This involved theanalysis of 1,000+ line items and will result in energy savings through the optimisation of each unit.\x01 The EU Building Information Modelling Task Group held their General Assembly in Brussels in September 2023, hosted by the European Commission. Aiden ONeill, Procurement Category Manager for Capital Works,and Facilities was invited as the country representative for Ireland.\x01 Continued the engagement with Trinitys Top 50 suppliers in relation to sustainable procurement, resulting in the following projects: \x01 A move to fully carbon-neutral paper with no extra premium (a positive step towards removing paper usage). \x01 Pilot to reduce plastic packaging and investigate greener alternative chemicals in the laboratory category.\x01 A new booking arrangement for hotels to enable a measurement of CO2 emissions-per-room-per-night is in the trial stages.\x01 Ben Hartnett, Procurement Manager received a Sustainability Leadership award forExcellence in Operations - making a change on campusin March 2023.35 36'
