Science Writing Workshops

The next scheduled STEM workshop 'Science Writing (including reports)' is on Wednesday 15 November 2023 @ 12:00. This workshop is aimed at those studying scientific courses. The attributes of good scientific writing, style and science-specific writing tasks will all be addressed in this hour long workshop. Click here for the link to join.

Maths Help Room

The Maths Help Room is back! The place to go for help with your maths assignments and problems; we're ready to help you solve any issues you have related to your undergraduate Maths courses. The Maths Help Room operates for students between 1:00pm – 2:00pm, every day, held in the Seminar Room (House 20, School of Mathematics). Visit the School of Maths website for more details.

Undergraduate Programming Centre

The School of Computer Science & Statistics Undergraduate Programming Centre (UGPC) can provide you with extra-curricular assistance relating to your studies. The UGPC operates a drop-in centre during the term where you can get support with your core programming skills from a demonstrator. Visit the UGPC website for more details.

Maths Resources on Blackboard

SLD has just launched a new section of mathematics and statistics resources on our Blackboard module. It has been developed from resources developed by University Maths Centres and organisations around the world. It comprises interactive exercises, quizzes, tutorials, videos and text resources on a wide range of maths and stats topics.

Academic Writing Centre
