1. Taught MSc course in Dysphagia

The Department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies offer a taught MSc course which can be completed full-time (1 year) or part-time (2 years). The aims of the course are to provide qualified Speech and Language Therapists with opportunities to advance their academic knowledge and professional practice skills with specific clinical populations. Specialist Strands offered for 2016/2017: Acquired Communication Disorders; Dysphagia; Developmental Communication Disorders; Fluency; Voice; Augmentative and Alternative Communication; Communication Disorders and Adult Mental HealthEach specialist strand will only run if a minimum of five students registers for that strand. These courses provide additional specialist qualifications to already qualified Speech and Language Therapists and do not serve as initial qualifications to practise as a Speech and Language Therapist.  For more information on this taught MSc course, click here.

2. Postgraduate Diploma Clinical Speech and Language Studies (Dysphagia)

This one year part-time course offers qualified Speech and Language Therapists who already have a license to practise an opportunity to develop specialist skills in all aspects of dysphagia (swallowing disorders) in both adult and paediatric populations. 3. PhD

The department offers the opportunity for research leading to the award of a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or a Masters degree (M.Litt. or M.Sc., depending on the subject area). For further information, click here.
