Research Information Systems and Services

An important part of the role of the Library is to capture and preserve the intellectual outputs of the university and to support the discovery of, and continued access to, those outputs. The Library’s Research Information Systems and Services works towards this end.

In partnership with Trinity Research and Innovation and with Management Information Systems in IT Services, the Library provides the College community with services which support individual researchers, schools, research centres and research administration.

Services focus on research communication, dissemination and reporting and on maximising the impact of the University’s research while reducing duplication and improving the flow of information.

An innovative integrated research system is at the heart of the service. The system includes the University’s institutional repository (TARA) which is designed to capture, manage and preserve the intellectual outputs of the University.
