Dr. Andrea Staino

Adjunct Assistant Professor

I am currently a Senior Expert Data Scientist at Alstom, France, working on applications of data science and AI to the mobility sector. I received my PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 2013 with a thesis about modeling and control of wind turbines. Co-authored more than 30 scientific papers published in different international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Research interests include modelling and simulation of energy systems, smart mobility, machine learning, numerical solution of nonlinear PDEs, quantum machine learning.
