Installation Details and Site Licence

Trinity College Dublin has a site licence for EndNote and current staff and students are permitted to install a copy of the software on College-owned machines.

Licence Purchase for Personal PCs

The site licence does not cover installation on personally-owned home PCs, laptops, or on any computer not owned or operated by College (including e.g., computers in hospitals, places of work etc.).

Members of a licensed site can purchase the full version at a substantial discount resulting in a saving on the list price of approximately €100.

EndNote X7 for Windows - latest EndNote release supported by the Library - instructions below

***Both the installation file "ENX7Inst.msi" and licence file "Licence.dat" are needed. Download both to the same folder, or the installation will fail. Generally, right-click and "save target as..." for each file***

When both files are downloaded, locate the file called "ENX7Inst.msi" and double-click to launch the installation process. Select the default folder and the "typical" installation option when offered.

Files from previous EndNote installations will remain on the computer unless they are uninstalled using the Control Panel.

EndNote X6.0.2 for Macintosh - latest EndNote release supported by the Library

This will work on the latest version of OSX, 10.8.2. Users of previous versions of X6 should upgrade if they install OSX 10.8.2.
