Support the Library
The Digitising the Treasures campaign seeks your generous support to help expand the Library’s digitisation work with the addition of 40,000 new digital volumes to the Digital Collections Repository. These additional digital resources will add to the growing set of remarkable Early Printed Books and Manuscripts materials openly available online to researchers, students and the general public.
The Preservation and Conservation Department is staffed by a team of professional conservators and technical staff, who operate out of a purpose-built conservation laboratory beside the Ussher Library. Staff are responsible for the care and treatment of the collection. Activities include those that mitigate risk, such as disaster preparedness planning, environmental monitoring, collection surveys, and handling skills training; and conservation treatments to remedy damage to the collection and to slow deterioration.
The Friends of the Library is a society interested in increasing knowledge and enjoyment of the Library’s collections. The Friends publicise the activities of the Library and contribute towards the purchase of books and equipment over and above what can be purchased from normal sources.
The Library has been supported by many benefactions, gifts, donations and grants over the years. These have helped provide the Library with its world-class facilities and priceless collections. The Library and its staff welcome and greatly appreciate the support given to it.
Donations may be made online on the Making a Payment page, which contribute towards the support of one of the great library collections of the world.
