The annual lecture in U.S. History given by Prof Kevin Gaines (University of Virginia) as part of the 'We shall overcome' conference organised by the School of Histories and Humanities.
This year's Annual Lecture in U.S. History will be delivered by Kevin Gaines, the Julian Bond Professor of Civil Rights and Social Justice at the University of Virginia. Though the U.S. civil rights movement is typically viewed in the public imagination as having wholly domestic roots and impact, Gaines will show that in fact it was deeply connected to global events.
This lecture forms part of the 'We Shall Overcome' conference. For the full schedule please see here.
This event is run in accordance with Trinity’s Dignity and Respect policy, and its commitment to nurturing a respectful and inclusive research culture.
