Taste of TAP

The Trinity Access Programmes Foundation Course is a year-long, full time academic preparation course for mature students and young adults from under-represented socio economic groups who wish to progress to higher education. The Taste of TAP Day provides an opportunity for potential applicants from linked and DEIS schools. Students are invited to try the course out for a day, learn how to apply and start to build relationships with the course team. We also introduce students to undergraduate ambassadors who have completed the course and who have been trained as mentors. The Taste of TAP Day would be a key event of College Awareness Week. It provides people who are interested in studying on the Foundation Course with the opportunity to try the course out for a day. Attending students can expect to:
  • Attend sample lectures in Arts, Social Sciences and Sciences
  • Find out how to apply for the course
  • Meet student ambassadors who are graduates of the course and current undergraduates
  • Meet course tutors
  • Have a virtual campus tour
  • Attend a study skills workshop
Our Schools Team will work with our lead-teacher to begin the recruitment process.
