TRiCC Lunchtime Seminar by Richard Ittenbach, PhD: Improving Informed Consent through Better Measurement, Better Science, and ‘Better Understanding’

TRiCC was delighted to welcome Dr Richard Ittenbach to deliver a lunchtime seminar entitled "Improving Informed Consent through Better Measurement, Better Science, and Better ‘Understanding’" .

Dr Ittenbach is a Professor of Paediatrics in the Division of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. His research focuses on the development and refinement of paediatric measures, with a particular interest in the needs of children with chronic and life-threatening conditions. Dr Ittenbach has more than 30 years of experience with measure and scale development, ranging from small, locally derived scales to large, nationally standardised tests. He is currently the Director of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Scale Development Unit, and serves on the editorial boards of AJOB--Empirical Bioethics and Journal of Empirical Research on Human Research Experimentation (JERHRE). His articles have appeared in the American Journal of Bioethics, Journal of Medical Ethics, Medical Decision Making, and Pediatrics
