TIDI Seminar Series

TIDI hosts two sets of seminars running in Michaelmas Term (Sept-Dec) and Hillary Term (Jan-Apr) and facilitates invited speakers with a development research or practical background to come and present on current issues facing the developing world.

The seminars, which are held regularly, are attended by researchers and academics, postgraduate and undergraduate students, as well as development practitioners and anyone with an interest in internationl development.

Specifically, the seminars facilitate and add value to students learning in the area of international development and gives them an opportunity to engage with a wide range of topics, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of development research and practical work. Seminars are usually 1-2 hours long and include a presentation from the invited speaker, as well as the opportunity of audience participation through a Q&A session.
