Katerina Zouboulakis, A Visual History of Earth System Models from 1972 to Present (Case Study: Met Eireann), Provost's PhD Project Award (2022-2026).

Katerina is a PhD student in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture and Trinity Centre for Environmental Humanities studying the visual culture of Met Éireann over the past fifty years. She is interested in the intersection of visual culture and science, particularly the images used to communicate complex scientific processes such as those studied by climate science and Earth Systems Science. She is also passionate about mitigating climate change and believes that education and communication are the cornerstones of achieving this challenge.

Katerina received her Master’s at Trinity College Dublin in Science Education, and her Bachelor’s at Brown University in Biology and Public Health.

Research interests: Science Communication, Visual Culture, Climate Science, Meteorology.
