Josh joined the Trinity Centre for Environmental Humanities as an Associate Researcher on the North Atlantic Fisheries project in September 2016. His research examines the globalising networks and institutions of England's expanding distant-water fisheries in the Early Modern era. He is currently in the process of finishing his PhD at the University of Cambridge, having completed an MA in Modern History (2013) and MLitt in Early Modern History (2014) at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
