I chose to study at Trinity because I wanted to further my learning in Ireland’s top university. As I am from Dundalk, I wanted to be in a new environment and Trintiy is located at the heart of Dublin so I reckoned I would have easy access to many facilities.

I love how practical my course is as a range of our lectures consist of group work and class discussions with case studies which supports me in applying theories to practice.

After graduation, I hope to work as a social worker in the children in care team in Tusla. I also hope to continue my studies by completing a M.Sc in Family Therapy.

I chose Trinity for its reputation as Ireland’s top university. It is a place where I could excel academically and personally. What I enjoy the most about being a Trinity student is the vibrant campus life, the chance to represent the college in sport, and the endless opportunities that have helped me grow as a person.

Trinity’s BSS course is renowned for producing high-quality social workers. Its strong academic foundation, combined with practical placements, provides the ideal preparation for the profession. Earning my degree from Ireland’s top university is a huge advantage that will greatly benefit my future career in social work.

What I enjoy most about the BSS course is the incredible sense of community. The small, supportive classes and dedicated staff have helped me form lifelong friendships. I’ve met some of the most amazing people through this course, and I’m truly grateful for TCD and this experience.
