Biology Teaching Centre

Biology Transition Year Programme 2026-27

The Biology Teaching Centre will run a one-week programme for transition year students interested in biological sciences and our TR060 Biological and Biomedical Sciences degree programme. Based within the Biology Teaching Centre laboratories, participants will receive basic training in laboratory health and safety, master fundamental scientific techniques, engage directly with active researchers and experience campus life at Trinity College Dublin.

Dates for the Transition Year Programme 2026 - 2027

The transition year programme will run from Monday 30th November 2026 until Friday 4th December 2026 inclusive.

Transition Year Application Process

• Please find the application form available here.
• You will need your Junior Cert results before you can complete your application form.
• The deadline for submission is Friday 23rd October 2026.
• Please submit all completed forms to BTC.Administrator@tcd.ie

To apply, a student will need to do the following:

1. Complete the application form provided and submit to BTC.Administrator@tcd.ie before the application deadline of Friday 23rd October 2026.
2. Please ensure you provide proof of your school’s insurance indemnity policy with your application form.

Partial applications will not be processed.
