Congratulations to PhD student Míde Power, who has received the Dermot McAleese Teaching Assistant Award for the Department of Sociology. Míde was proposed by Dr Yekaterina Chzhen for her teaching on Inequality in the 21st Century.
Míde`s research focuses on developing training in sexual violence prevention for third level students.
The awards, named in honour of the late Professor Dermot McAleese, former Whately Professor of Political Economy, are now in their 15th year. Each recipient receives €500 and a commemorative medal.
