Prof Liz Heffernan and Prof Sarah Hamill worked together to gather the articles and have this edition ready for press. Thanks to the work of everyone involved, this year's volume once again features careful analysis from legal scholars and practitioners.
While this volume certainly does not cover every case, it serves to highlight important cases and key developments. It provides a good overview of the problems the Court faced this year, and it allows us to see how these current reflections might influence the future. We make no grand claims, but we hope it offers a useful perspective.
The Irish Supreme Court Review is published annually by Clarus Press on behalf of the School of Law, Trinity College, Dublin. It is a peer-reviewed legal journal, publishing articles that consider major themes in the work of the Court and its leading cases in the previous legal year. Articles are drawn from papers presented at the annual Conference of the Irish Supreme Court Review, including keynote contributions reflecting on the role of the Supreme Court, especially as it debates matters with other international and apex courts.
As we celebrate the publication of Volume 8, we are already preparing for future discussions on the evolving landscape of Irish law. Please stay tuned, as we will be announcing the details and call for papers for the next Irish Supreme Court Review conference very soon.
