Short Courses in Modern Languages
The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies will run language and culture courses alongside the 2025-26 academic year, in the following languages:

- Bulgarian
- Croatian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Ukrainian
The short evening courses will commence in autumn and are offered at levels ranging from beginner to lower intermediate to advanced (subject to minimum and maximum registration numbers). Our classes take place in person in a small classroom setting.
Registration will open in early July, please check this webpage for updates, or register your interest in a short course by submitting your contact information, and you will be notified when registration is open.
Duration
Each course runs for a total of 22 weeks (a 2-hour class once per week) spread over two terms – Autumn (commencing in late September or early October) and Winter/Spring (commencing in January).Time and Venue
All classes will take place in the evening on Trinity College’s campus in Dublin city centre. Learners will receive dates, times and venue information closer to the course commencement date.Course fees
The fee is €660 for the 22-week course. This fee is non-refundable once the course has commenced.Registration and payment
All courses are offered subject to minimum and maximum registration numbers. Learners must be 18 years of age or older to enrol in the short courses offered by the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies.Participation in the short course does not include access to the Trinity Library or other student services.
Accreditation
Our short courses are designed to empower learners to explore or improve competence in another language. These short courses are not Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited.
