This is an interdisciplinary, outward facing centre providing a hub for colleagues across the University, the wider academic community in Ireland, and an international community of scholars dedicated to research in the area of the Middle East from antiquity to the present.
The centre aims to establish national and international networks, offering workshops and research seminars through international webinars. It seeks to engage the public and the wider community in an effort to promote the academic study of the Middle East leading to a greater appreciation of its cultures, regions and peoples.
