Jacquline Hayden is awarded with the Medal of Gratitude by the European Solidarity CenterFounding member of the Centre for Resistance Studies, Prof Jacqueline Hayden was awarded the Medal of Gratitude by the European Solidarity Center in Gdansk for donating her extensive collection of interviews with leading members of the Solidarity movement and other political figures.

Poetry, Translation and Oppression: Carmen Bugan and Eiléan Ní ChuilleanáinThe Centre hosted an in-conversation event with award-winning writer and poet, Carmen Bugan and Prof Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin. Religion as a Means of Resistance: Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Poland - hybrid seminar by Dr Julia BuyskykhThe Centre hosted a research seminar by Dr. Julia Buyskykh, a socio-cultural anthropologist affiliated with the Institute of History of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv. In her talk, Dr Buyskykh discussed how local Ukrainian Greek Catholics were able to resist and survive in the communist period, and to develop their communities through religion.

Literature and Resistance: As You Wish: Deena MohamedEgyptian comics artist Deena Mohamed discussed her graphic novel, Your Wish is My Commmand (Shubeik Lubeik) at the International Literature Festival Dublin. The event was organised jointly with ILFDublin, the Long Room Hub and the Centre.
