Online PhD Research Support Groups
Student Learning Development (part of the Student Counselling Services) are piloting Online PhD Research Support Groups, starting this in May 2021. This is a new initiative for doctoral research students to address many well-documented challenges facing doctoral students.
In addition, through our work with PhD students we hear about their current struggles due to COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty. Staying in touch with other researchers throughout the degree is a way to help address challenges such as isolation, maintaining motivation, lack of feedback and stress.
