What is the LLM (Executive Track) Summer Programme at Berkeley School of Law?

This programme allows you to earn your LL.M degree over two consecutive full-time 8-10 week summer semesters at University of California, Berkeley – one of the top law schools in the United States.

You will take the same number of units as other tracks leading to an LL.M, however with less time spent away from home. Students on the Executive Track take one or two courses every few weeks with exams following immediately.

Mandatory course work includes Fundamentals of U.S. Law and Legal Research and Writing however electives are also available. Students may also choose to earn a Certificate of Specialization in AI and Emerging Technologies, Business Law, Law and Technology, or Post-Graduate Executive. Students can also meet the requirements to become eligible to sit for the California Bar Examination.

You first apply to the TCD Law School with the following documents:

  • CV
  • Letter of Motivation
  • Transcript

You then complete an interview with the Director of Global Engagement in the Law School. If you are successful in the interview and obtain the required II.1 in SF exams, you are recommended to Berkeley.
