Course Availability
KU offers many courses in English in various disciplines. Please note that it is not guaranteed that the same courses are offered every year. It is important that you ensure your intended courses are offered in your registered semester.
The list of courses offered in English is updated and available for you to check online in January for spring semester and in July for fall semester. More information available here > English > Major Subject (or General Subject).

Courses conducted in English will be indicated in brackets (e.g., Marketing Management (English)). Courses marked under the X) tab are open to exchange students.
Exchange students can take a maximum of 19 credits per semester. Undergraduate students are not allowed to take graduate courses.

Exchange students can take up to 18 credits per semester.
Some courses in Global Business Administration and Global Economics can be restricted to exchange and visiting students. The following are restricted for exchange students: School of Medicine, School of Pharmacy, Public Affairs, Law, College of Art (Open, but very few courses conducted in English and subjects in Theatre are restricted for exchange students.)

Course Availability
All applicants for exchange/visiting program must choose one college and department as their affiliation and in general, applicants choose one that most suits their academic background or study abroad purpose. Students can, however, take other unrestricted courses from different colleges and departments.
Applicants who wish to study in the discipline of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Music, Fine Arts, and MBA must, in advance, be advised of the program availability by Seoul National University exchange program coordinators.
Please note, undergraduate applicants for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering must have earned at least 15 credits in CSE-related courses (one credit corresponds to 15 lecture hours or 30 lab hours). This must be explicitly shown on the official transcript; if not, additional proof must be presented by the student.
*Due to limited spacing Computer Science and Engineering must limit the spaces offered to exchange students.
Dept. of Korean History/Psychology/Statistics/Pharmacy requires applicants to provide proof of Korean language proficiency. A satisfactory level of Korean language ability should be Level 5 or above of the official Korean Language Proficiency Test, TOPIK.
College of Law is not available for exchange students.

To plan for exchange at Seoul National University, please review the resources regarding accommodation. Exchange students can apply for on-campus housing. There are two types of residence halls available on the main campus. You may also explore off-campus housing options.
A student visa is required to enter and study at Seoul National University. For detailed information on the visa application process, students must contact the nearest Korean Embassy/Consulate and the information available here. Insurance is required for exchange students. For details about the courses available and course restrictions and prerequisites for exchange students at Yonsei University, please see their website.
The following courses are restricted for exchange students: Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, MBA, Music, Songdo International Campus courses, Pharmacy and Law.
Courses offered by the Department of Business Administration are ONLY available to exchange students who are majoring in a business-related field at their home institution and have chosen Business Administration as their Yonsei major in their SAY application. Students who qualify may take a maximum of 4 BIZ courses (12 credits) only.
